Terminal History
The Carlisle Terminal was opened on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. The site selected was on the Famed Miracle Mile. Most people don’t know the Miracle Mile is, the 1 mile of highway between Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 81. It was the first level road built by federal budget under the Eisenhower Interstate System. The terminal building used to be a gas station with a full-service garage. If you walk around the office area you can still feel the car lifts under the carpet in some places.
